Double Drop, One Throw
Clay, Metal
Clay forms are dropped from heights or thrown against surfaces. Continuously transformed, the objects are shaped through acts of marking, measuring and observing - each collision registers pressure, distortion, resistance.
The act of letting go, whether a drop or a throw, is fundamental, almost destructive. It challenges the assumption that form can exist without structure. Imprinted by impact, the sculptures hold the memory of force.
Form here is not perfected; it is marked, damaged, and built directly from the merging of material and environment.
